Hark! A Vagrant

Kate Beaton is the cartoonist behind webcomic Hark! A Vagrant, now a bestselling and critically acclaimed book. Her astute comics generally target history and literature, but there’s all kinds of other stuff to enjoy too. I like that her work is sharp, ironic and funny all at once.

Here are some examples, but I highly recommend Kate Beaton’s free webcomic and the new book.

  1. I love it! I especially love the Bronte comic, since I’ve read something by all three sisters and it’s SO TRUE.

Me too! That one really made me laugh. 🙂

There’s some other great stuff online (and in the book). Parodies of Jane Eyre and Dracula that cracked me up.
