Stuff, things & other nonsense

I don’t think I have much energy for a ‘real’ post, so I’m going with a list. Lists are good.

1. Thank you so much to everyone for such kind and supportive comments on my last post. I appreciate it more than I can say. I apologise for not replying to each of you, but in this case I just don’t think it’s… I dunno… appropriate. Is that the right word? I feel like I’m sort of giving myself props if I go around thanking everyone individually, and I didn’t do what I did for that. But, thank you. There. Moving on, now…

2. I keep forgetting to link to these things, but Smart Pop YA have done some lovely posts in support of The Iron Witch. First up was an interivew, where I revealed important secrets like how many tattoos I have; then they put my essay from The Vampire Diaries anthology up for free (huzzah!), but only for a limited time; and finally there’s a giveaway for a signed copy of The Iron Witch. It closes midnight on Wednesday, March 30, EST, so hurry! 😉

3. Update on contest prizes: All copies of The Iron Witch that I owe people have either gone out, or will have gone out by Wednesday. I’m sorry for being so slow, but I finally had to give up on doing it all at once and just mailed them in batches – I kind of overspent on postage during February and it set me back for March. (Note to self: budget for mailing of signed books!)

ETA: Bookplates update coming soon. I got way more requests than I expected, which is of course awesome. Thank you!

4. I love Fringe. They almost lost me during the first few episodes of Season 3, but they got me back again. I’m hanging in there and hoping for a return to the awesomeness that was Season 2. Also, this:

Don't call me Pacey!

Do I adore them? Why, yes… I think I do. 🙂

  2. I haven’t been by in awhile (or emailed) but that doesn’t mean I don’t read everything 🙂 This is just a drive-by hey and hell yeah – Fringe is awesome. (And he’ll always be Pacey to me.)

    1. Well, I TOTALLY owe you an email. Sorry, luv. *hugs* Brilliant to see you here, though.

I thought JJ would always be Pacey to me, especially when I started watching Fringe… but now I have to say those memories are fading. A little. 😉

  4. I have to admit that I’m a big fan of Glee. I’m not obsessed, but I do quite enjoy it. Probably more popular in the U.S. though — ooh, it’s on tonight!

I can’t wait for the signed bookplates — thanks so much for taking the time to make them and send them! 😉 I’m so excited.

    1. Glee is pretty popular over here, too. I’ve seen bits of it, but I need to start from the beginning and watch it all. One day – when I get time. 🙂

I want a bookplate too, but I’ll wait until you get caught up 🙂

  6. My Dad got series 1 of Fringe for Christmas, and we watched a lot of it – he’s since bought series 2, as well, so I think I need to do some catching up! Love it 🙂

    1. It’s great, and it just gets better from the second half of Season 1 and then all of S2. 🙂

  7. I adore Fringe, too. And the chaos that is Peter and Olivia’s relationship just makes me shake my head.

My husband doesn’t watch regularly, but he’ll catch something and never fail it’s akin to “they really are outright cruel to her.” I wouldn’t go that far, but the Fauxlivia craziness was awesome/painful.

    1. Oh wow, ‘chaos’ is RIGHT! 🙂

And I agree on Fauxlivia. That’s where they almost lost me, but I’m hanging in there.
