(BEDM* is my attempt to blog each day of May – just to see if I can.)
Do the Write Thing for Nashville is an amazing series of auctions set up by YA authors Victoria Schwab, Myra McEntire and Amanda Morgan in aid of the many victims of the recent devastating floods that hit Nashville.
My contribution for the auction is up now, with bidding open for another day or so (each ‘lot’ is up for 3 days, then it’s gone – to the highest bidder!). I’ve been tweeting about it, with the #dtwtfn hashtag, but realised not everyone is on Twitter. Oops. So, there have been some amazingly generous bids on my stuff already, but if anyone wants to take a look it’s right here: Day 9, Item 17:
From Karen Mahoney, author of THE IRON WITCH (Flux, 2011) a signed copy of THE ETERNAL KISS, which contains her story, “Falling to Ash”, a query letter + 3 chapter critique + email consultation regarding querying.
Also, either a signed ARC of KISS ME DEADLY, due to be published late July, if the author can obtain one (they are in short supply ahead of BEA) OR an author copy when she receives one.
There are still a lot of crazy-awesome items still open for bidding, so check it out before everything finishes in the next few days. And THANK YOU so much to the people who have bid on the two books + crit, etc. that I donated. The way things are looking, I’d better make damn sure it’s a good critique… 😉
