Waiting on Wednesday

Okay, so I am not a ‘book blogger’ but… well… I do blog and I do like to talk about books. That means I am totally jumping on the ‘Waiting on Wednesday’ bandwagon today (a popular meme started by Jill at Breaking the Spine).

When I saw this cover and read the tiny blurb about it, can I just say: GAAH!!! And: WANT!! The cover is sooo beautiful:

When Rose Wakes by Christopher Golden looks like my kind of book. Um… A modern-day retelling of Sleeping Beauty? I simply cannot wait to read this! :)

Info taken from Mr. Golden’s blog where the author will only hint at the story, saying it’s set in:

present day New York, Rose wakes from a coma with no memory, and only her two aunts to care for her. But how long has she REALLY been asleep, and what secret past are her aunts hiding from her?

Bring on October…

Sounds cool. I was trying to figure out where I knew his name from and finally traced it back to his excellent short story in the Many Bloody Returns anthology.

I also love this cover – I could see TIW with something this style.

    • Kaz says:

Oh, I haven’t read that! There are so many anthologies I want.

Re. cover, yeah it is just so gorgeous. I don’t think I’ll have that sort of style for TIW. I think we might be going for something more symbolic…
