Okay, so that sounds totally grand and over-the-top, but I am trying to streamline the things I do online and look at exactly what I want from my website. Not just what I want for myself, to make things easier and more manageable, but also what I want to offer people.
Some author websites are purely informational and pretty static, but I don’t want mine to be like that. (Not that I am judging those sites because, of course, they serve an important purpose and often look very pretty.) At the moment I hardly have any content here… but that will change! As soon as I have time away from writing projects and Other Life Stuff. I want to include some excerpts over here, free reads, Q&A sessions… lots of things! Eventually.
For now, though, I am going to move all of my blogging over here to keep things shiny and updated. Yes, yes, we all know I’ve ‘left LiveJournal’ before – and I always go back. But this time is different. (It is!) This time, I am not really leaving LJ because I’ll still be hanging out at The Elevensies and I’ll still be reading people’s blogs and commenting. I just won’t be posting my own ramblings there – maybe I’ll consider crossposting eventually, but not to begin with. I’ve had 3 wonderful years on LJ and I really do need a change of scene. I also need to be a bit more organised in my approach to online communications – there’s so much going on out there, I sometimes get overwhelmed with it all. I’ll leave my LiveJournal as it is for now, so any crazy interested peeps can check out the archives from the beginning of my writing/publication journey. But the new stuff will go here from now on…
So plug the address into your Google Reader (there’s an RSS feed button at the top of the page), bookmark the site and please come by and visit occasionally. I’d really appreciate seeing some friendly faces around here.
